Are alcoholic beverages allowed?
Alcoholic beverages are permitted only at your site, for those who are 21 or older.
Are discounts accepted, such as Military, AAA, or Good Sam Club?
Active and retired military personnel receive a 10% discount. Military ID is required. We do not accept any other discounts.
Do you accept checks for payment?
Checks are not accepted for payment. All payments must be made with a credit card.
Are linens provided in cabins?
Linens are not provided in deluxe or log cabins.
Are there group rates?
We offer Camp & Play Packages for Youth and Scout Troops. If you are interested in booking a group, please contact our reservation office.
Are there tables and grills?
There are picnic tables and fire rings with grates (not grills) located throughout the Camping Resort. Please do not move any of the tables or fire rings. Only charcoal or wood should be burned in the fire ring and campfires are not to exceed one foot high.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are permitted on the property, but not in any buildings, including the retail store, barn and bathhouses, pavilions, cabins, restrooms or inside the pool area. No pets allowed in tents. All pets must be quiet and well behaved and must not disturb or pose a danger to other guests. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6’ at all times. You must clean up after your pet at all times.
Please clean your site of any pet messes prior to departure. If your pet is outside, you must be outside with your pet. If you leave the Camping Resort for the day, you must ensure your pets have water and food. Do not leave your pet in an RV that is not air conditioned. Pets are not to be left outside when you are not at your campsite.
Can I bring firewood with me?
No, outside firewood is not allowed to be brought into Hersheypark Camping Resort®. Firewood Transportation Prohibited: The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has issued a notice prohibiting the movement of all species of firewood into the State, effective immediately. This quarantine has been issued because of the threat posed by various wood-feeding insects, including Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), Asian Longhorned Beetle, Sirex Wood Wasp, and bark beetles that are considered threats to Pennsylvania's forest, horticultural and recreational resources. PLEASE help us and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture by not transporting firewood into Pennsylvania. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Can stakes be inserted in the ground?
Stakes may be used in campsite areas except for those in Carousel Circle - this pertains to dog tie spikes, tent spikes, or canopy spikes.
How old do you have to be to make a reservation for a campsite or cabin?
Effective June 1, 2024, Guests must be 21 or older to make a reservation for a campsite or cabin.
Is early check-in or late check-out available?
Please call or check at the Office for your site’s availability. Note that there will be an additional fee.
What is a day guest & what privileges do they have?
Day guests visiting Hersheypark Camping Resort will be charged a $10 fee for each day guest/per day plus $6 for any additional vehicles. Day guests are authorized to visit from 8 AM - 10 PM. A wristband will be provided at the desk once provided a reservation affiliation. Day guest passes are only available if a friend or family member has a reservation on that day for the Hersheypark Camping Resort. The reservation holder must be present at the time of the notice. Day guests will have access to all activities including the outdoor pool (seasonally) and Hersheypark Shuttle Bus (Seasonally). Taxes may be applicable.
Is there running water on the campsite year round?
Once temperatures drop below 30°F or below over the course of three days, water will be shut off immediately through April 1. The Historic Landis Barn which offers a bath house and the 2-Bedroom Deluxe Cabins will have water year round. A water fill station will be available in the main parking lot.

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are without penalty, cancellations after 24 hours of booking, up to 10 days prior to the arrival date result in a $15 processing fee, and all cancellations within 10 days of the reservation's arrival date will result in forfeiting the first night's deposit.
What is the tent policy?
There is a two, four person tent maximum with no more than eight people per site. If you have more than two, four person tents or more than eight people, you will need to book and pay for an additional site. No tents allowed in the Carrousel Circle section of the Camping Resort. If you are staying in a pavilion site with electric and water, only one tent is allowed with a maximum of four guests per site.

Can I decorate my campsite or cabin during my stay?
Guests are permitted to decorate the exterior of their campsite or cabin with items such as lights, small lawn ornaments, and sports flags. However, political flags and propaganda are strictly prohibited.
What is there to know about the campsites?
There are multiple types of sites: tenting sites, partial hook-up, full hook-up, and pull-through sites. We permit one family and one camping unit/vehicle per site. An additional tent for minor dependents (under age 18) will be permitted with prior approval from the Office. Note that tents and tent stakes are prohibited in the Carousel Circle full hook-up area. When is check-in and check-out?
Check-in for campsites and cabins is after 3 PM. Check-out is at 1 PM for campsites and at 11 AM for cabins.

What is your policy on Fireworks & Weapons?
Fireworks (including sparklers), firecrackers, explosives, firearms or weapons of any kind are not permitted.
When are Quiet Hours?
Quiet hours are from 10 PM - 8 AM. Generators, diesel engines, or bright exterior lighting may not operate during the quiet hours. Playgrounds close at 9 PM in-season and at dusk during the off season. In addition to quiet hours; No loud music, excessive noise, or disorderly conduct will be tolerated at any time.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas, but prohibited in cabins, buildings, restrooms, and the pool area.
What is your theft & loss policy?
Campers are responsible for securing their personal property, including, but not limited to, their campers and contents, vehicles, tents, or any other personal property. The campground, its owner, agents, and employees are not responsible or liable for theft or loss of any kind, nor damage caused by acts of God, fires, floods, windstorms, explosions, lightning strikes, accidents, or vandalism. Campers are responsible for maintaining insurance on their campers, vehicles, and personal property.
Can I fly my UAV/drone?
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, the Hersheypark Camping Resort strictly prohibits the operation of or use of any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as "Drones," on, from, or above the Hersheypark Camping Resort premises without specific written permission from an official of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. This includes all UAVs regardless of size, weight, or purpose.
Do you sell propane tanks?
Our Country Store sells 20-pound propane tanks, and offers refills on propane for our campers. We do not currently have 1-pound propane tanks in stock and recommend bringing your own if needed.
Vehicles/Hoverboards/Golf Carts/Scooters
For the safety of children at play, the speed limit throughout the campground is 5 1/2 mph. Vehicle/Camper washing is not permitted. Golf carts are not allowed except for guests with disabilities and a handicap placard must be presented at the time of check in. Four wheelers are not permitted on the property. Only manually powered bicycles, scooters and skateboards are allowed on the property. Electric bikes, electric scooters, hoverboards, rollerblades, inline skates and shoes with built in wheels are not permitted. Helmets are recommended to be worn. All bikes, scooters, and skateboards must be parked from 9pm to 8am. Please refrain from riding or driving on the patio. The patio is for foot traffic only. Please refrain from riding bikes, skateboards or any other non-motorized vehicle down the Pioneer Heights Hill. Any non-motorized vehicle must be walked in this area of the Camping Resort.

Hersheypark Shuttle Bus is available during the Hersheypark operating season only.
Is Electric Vehicle (EV) charging available at the Camping Resort?
Electric Vehicle (EV) charging is not available at Hersheypark Camping Resort. Complimentary EV charging stations can be found throughout Hershey, including Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction.
Is there a dress code at Hersheypark Camping Resort?
Modest dress is expected of all guests. Revealing or offensive clothes are not considered appropriate. Bikini tops, bikini bottoms, Speedo bikinis, thongs, and brief halter tops are not considered appropriate attire while at the Camping Resort. Some language, gestures, and suggestive art on apparel may also be considered inappropriate. Hersheypark Camping Resort reserves the right to address those issues with guests.
Pool Attire:
In addition to the above, only appropriate swimwear is permitted. Revealing bathing suits such as thongs, shorts with rivets, snaps, zippers, and metal ornamentation; cutoffs; and jeans are not permitted.
